SEZO AL_B
Monitoring Air Quality in Production Halls and Warehouses
SEZO AL_B is a compact sensor designed in compliance with the ATEX directive, suitable for operation in explosive atmospheres. It measures temperature, humidity, outdoor air quality (PM), and indoor air quality (based on VOC measurements). The device includes outputs for controlling ventilation systems based on threshold exceedances for temperature or particulate matter. These thresholds are remotely configurable. Additionally, the device can measure other environmental parameters such as light intensity, noise levels, and motion detection. It is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, powered by a 24V DC supply, with a maximum power consumption of 1W.
MEASURING AIR QUALITY
SEZO AL_B provides information on air quality by measuring the levels of PM1, PM2.5, and PM10, which are harmful to human health. The device helps determine whether the indoor environment is safe.
LORAWAN TECHNOLOGY
It allows the devices to operate on the unlicensed ISM band, eliminating subscription fees. Devices using LoRaWAN transmit data either when triggered by an event (e.g., movement, light activation) or on a fixed schedule (e.g., every 15 minutes).
PLATFORM INTEGRATION
It allows easy configuration via USB or preconfiguration based on customer requirements. The device can also connect to an existing platform used by your company, with simple network server setup, such as The Things Stack or Chirpstack. The decoder is available for download on GitHub SEZO.

SEZO AL_B monitors environmental parameters such as temperature, air pollution (PM1, PM2.5, PM10), indoor air quality (IAQ), humidity, atmospheric pressure, light intensity, and noise level.

The built-in PIR sensor allows detection of human presence within at least 5 meters from the device.

SEZO AL_B transmits data upon an event trigger (e.g., motion detection) or at user-defined intervals. Configuration is via USB.
- SEZO AL_B is equipped with additional LEDs that indicate when temperature or particulate matter (PM) thresholds are exceeded. Additionally, the device allows for controlled short-circuit/open-circuit actions depending on the alarm. Designed with ventilation control in mind, SEZO AL_B can be connected to a ventilation system. For example, if high particulate levels are detected, it can remotely activate the ventilation, improving air quality in the room.

SEZO AL_B can be used both indoors and outdoors, operating without interference at temperatures ranging from -30 to +60°C.

LoRaWAN technology enables long-distance data transmission, with a range of up to 10 km between the device and the gateway.

FACILITY MANAGEMENT

The device can be customized to meet clients’ specific needs, including the measurement of basic environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, and sound levels. It features integrated alarm threshold configuration, allowing users to adjust alarm thresholds for all measured parameters (temperature, humidity, light, air quality, and acoustic intensity).

Public facilities such as libraries, museums, and city halls use SEZO AL_B to monitor temperature, humidity, sound level, and illumination, enhancing comfort and efficiency. Thresholds for measured parameters can be individually set through the built-in alarm threshold configuration.
The integrated accelerometer measures shocks and/or movements (e.g., of objects like doors or exhibition pieces) and can potentially reduce the response time of facility security (more reliable than CCTV).
The device can send data to the Orange Live Objects platform via LoRaWAN.
SCHOOLS
SEZO AL_B makes schools safer for children and staff.
School management uses SEZO AL_B to ensure good air quality both inside and outside school premises. By measuring particulate matter such as PM10, PM2.5, and PM1, SEZO AL_B helps detect harmful pollutants in schoolyards and parking lots. When placed in school corridors or classrooms, SEZO AL_B allows continuous monitoring of the ventilation system’s effectiveness.
The device is powered by a DC 24V power supply, making it suitable for various locations with the appropriate power source.
SEZO AL_B can send data via LoRaWAN to the Orange Live Objects platform.
INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION SITES
SEZO AL_B enhances security processes at industrial manufacturing sites.
The device can send data to the Orange Live Objects platform via LoRaWAN and measures environmental parameters such as dust levels (PM1, PM2.5, PM10) and sound levels. SEZO AL_B is powered by a 24V DC power supply and includes an alarm threshold configuration for all measured parameters.
The device features an integrated PIR (infrared) sensor, which can detect the presence of people. This function can be used as an alarm, individually configured by the user. PIR sensors are commonly used in security alarms and automatic lighting applications.
