Compact Emergency System

SEZO BL is a compact, low power device with an alarm button, measuring temperature, humidity and light intensity. SEZO BL has two visible, configurable alarm buttons, allowing both to call and cancel the alarm. Additionally, there is an extra alarm button on the cable.


SEZO BL is battery powered. The use of low power LoRaWAN technology extends the battery life of the device up to 3 years of SEZO BL use. This allows the device to be mounted in any place, even in a hard to reach.


It allows the devices to use unlicensed ISM band – which means no subscription fees are required. The devices using LoRaWAN send data either after being triggered by an event (e.g. movement, switching on the light) or based on a fixed schedule (e.g. every 15 minutes).


It enables easy USB configuration or device preconfiguration according to customer requirements. It is also possible to connect the device to another, already existing platform that your company uses, thanks to the possibility of easily establishing a network server, eg The Things Stack, Chirpstack. The decoder is available for download on github SEZO.


  • SEZO BL measures such parameters as light level, temperature and humidity.
  • The SEZO BL has two configurable alarm buttons (e.g. alarm calling and cancelling) and an additional, coupled button on the cable.
  • SEZO BL transfers data at the time of the event or at user-defined intervals. The device is configured via USB.
  • SEZO BL can be used indoors, also in situations where the temperature in the building is below zero – it works without interruptions at temperatures from -30 to +60°C.
  • LoRaWAN technology enables long-distance data transmission – the distance between the device and the gateway can be up to 10 km.
  • The SEZO BL device is battery-powered and thanks to the use of LoRaWAN technology for long-distance transmission, the life of SEZO BL batteries is up to 3 years.

Use Cases


SEZO BL enhances security at industrial manufacturing sites.

The SEZO BL device has three visible, configurable alarm buttons, which enable both calling (red button on the front, along with the button on the cable) and cancelling the alarm (green button on the side) in case of an on-site, potentially life-threatening emergency. With one button on the front, and second one attached via a cable, the facility workers easily inform everyone on-site about the emergency, enabling timely evacuation.

The device is capable of sending data to the Orange Live Objects platform via LoRaWAN and pulls from the environment such data as temperature, humidity and luminosity. Facility management uses SEZO BL to monitor environmental conditions on-site.

SEZO BL device is powered by a 1200 mAh battery and allows seamless installation.


SEZO BL is used by care centre managers (hospitals, nursing homes, retirement homes) to provide safe and comfortable conditions for their residents. By measuring and configuring alarm thresholds for environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity and light levels, SEZO BL helps to create optimal living conditions for the residents. SEZO BL also allows for lighting control – e.g. automatic switching of light in a corridor when the light level falls below a defined threshold.

SEZO BL is also equipped with three alarm buttons – a red one on the front of the unit, and a black one on a cable, which allow the elderly or sick person to call for help, and a green one on the side, enabling the user to cancel the alarm. The device is small and has a battery supply so it can always be within reach of the person in need.

The device sends data via LoRaWAN to the Orange Live Objects platform.
